Find Help for Questions About Health Insurance Marketplace or Missouri Medicaid at Education Day

Residents with questions about qualifying for health insurance through Health Insurance Marketplace or Missouri Medicaid are invited to attend Community Education Day, Tuesday, Dec. 7, at First Christian Church, 407 W. Broadway St. in Bolivar.

Attendees can schedule a free 30 minute appointment between 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. and have a health insurance navigator answer their questions and help them find affordable health insurance plans that cover everything from doctor’s visits to preventative health to prescription drugs.

About Health Insurance Marketplace

If you don’t have health insurance, the Health Insurance Marketplace can help you find coverage that fits your needs and budget. Marketplace Open Enrollment for 2022 coverage is Nov. 1, 2021-Jan. 15, 2022. You may qualify for coverage through a Marketplace plan, Medicaid, or the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP). You can apply and enroll in Medicaid or CHIP any time.

About Missouri Medicaid

The rules have changed. Missouri Medicaid has expanded to cover more people. Now, more adults can get low-cost or free health insurance through Missouri Medicaid called MO HealthNet. For example, a single adult making up to $17,774 a year, or a family of 4 making up to $36,750 a year, may qualify for Medicaid through MO HealthNet.
