A Word From Our Principal
I hope this message finds you and yours well.
Fr. Patrick cancelled both the 7:00am Mass at the south church and the 9:00am school Mass today due to not feeling well. Please keep him in your prayers.
Two days will be added to our holiday break next week! School on Monday and Tuesday is canceled due to a shortage of substitute teachers needed to cover classes for our teachers who are out because of Covid or the flu. Students will be informed of this change today at 3:00pm in an announcement over the PA. Students who ordered Gourmet Gorilla on 11/22 will bring home that lunch today. Students who ordered the 11/23 lunch will receive an email with additional information.
Please consider helping our school by substitute teaching in the future. When you serve as a sub, everything needed for the lessons is provided for you by the classroom teacher. Requirements for substitute teaching in this time of great need are an Associate's or Bachelor's degree and Safe Environment training. The rate of pay for a half-day: $50 and for a full day: $100. The opportunity and experience of spending the day with your child(ren) and friends: priceless! Please contact frontdesk@sfbschool.org with your contact information to be included on our sub list. THANK YOU in advance for your help!
This resolution of closing school on 11/22 and 11/23 is an isolated situation, not the norm moving forward. Although we have been searching for substitute teachers for several weeks, thankfully today we already have heard from many parents who are interested in helping the school with future needs. So grateful for the support! Our main goal continues to be to keep the school open and face-to-face for faith formation, a rigorous, valid curriculum, and physical, social, and emotional growth.
While this is an unexpected change, we hope that your family is able to enjoy the extra time together during this Thanksgiving holiday! It is this holiday that is also a gateway to Advent and Christmas, a special time of wonder for children and needed peace, kindness, and renewal for all.
Heavenly Father, at this time of Thanksgiving, we bow our hearts to You and pray. We give You thanks for all You've done, especially for the gift of Jesus, Your Son. For beauty in nature, Your glory we see, for joy and health, friends, and family. Through Christ our Lord, Amen.
Blessings to you and yours,
Principal Amy Royes

Teacher Christmas Gift
As parents who have seen our children thrive at St. Francis Borgia School, we can attest to the fact that it’s the dedicated teachers and staff guiding our children that make all the difference in the world! During the holidays, many parents give gifts to the teachers and staff to show appreciation for their commitment to our children.
Again this year, we will be facilitating a cash Christmas gift from SFB families (in lieu of individual gifts) to all grade and support teachers and staff. If you would like to participate please send your contribution by 12/13 in any of the following ways:
- Through SFB school office ‘ATTN: Amy Mazza’
- Mail a check to ‘Amy Mazza’ at W78N405 Ridgeway Lane, Cedarburg, WI 53012
- Through VENMO @Michelle-Kluck
Click on the present for the flyer. Any amount is welcome.
