A Message from Our Principal
|
|
Dear Thunderbird Families,
We had a great start to the school year. It was special to have all our students together again on campus. Our focus has been helping all students to learn how we do things at Tolt and to build connections with each other. Students participated in community building activities in their classes. We want our students to get used to being at Tolt all day, build relationships with other students and staff, and be excited for learning this year.
Our students have been outstanding at following our health and safety protocols. We have been fortunate to have sunny weather and many students have taken advantage of our outdoor seating options during lunch--new additions coming soon are an outdoor tent and plexiglass barriers for our lunch tables. Our students have been very understanding about wearing masks and maintaining physical distancing throughout the day.
It is encouraging that we have such a high turnout for fall sports. We are looking forward to starting after-school clubs and activities soon.
Thank you for trusting us with your student(s). It is truly an honor to work with them and to partner with you through their middle school years.
Warmly,
Amie Karkainen, Principal

Our Curriculum Night on Thursday, September 16 will again be a virtual event, with teachers providing 5-10 minute videos sharing information about their classes. Parents and guardians may choose to watch these videos, along with a TMS welcome video, either that evening or when convenient for them. More details to come about how to access the links to these videos soon. Our teachers look forward to introducing themselves to you and providing information so you can support your student’s learning this year.
