Our State of the Village Event is Almost Here!
On December 1, Palmetto Bay will celebrate one of its biggest events of the year as we host our annual State of the Village Address at Coral Reef Park! Our emcee this year is Michael Baiamonte, the Voice of the Miami Heat, and he'll be joined by Mayor Karyn Cunningham, our Village Council, and even more special guests. In addition to appetizers and drinks, the event will also feature a performance from the Childrens Voice Chorus and more entertainment from our live DJ. Be sure to RSVP, because we can't wait to see you there!
News You Can Use
Join Us at our Swearing-In Ceremony
Come to Village Hall on December 5 for an end-of-the-election celebration and observe the swearing-in of our newly re-elected Mayor Karyn Cunningham, Councilman Patrick Fiore, and Councilwoman Marsha Matson! Enjoy drinks, appetizers, and music outside in our courtyard before our Council members take their oaths of office in the Council Chambers. Our Council is here to serve you, Palmetto Bay, so come out and show your support!
Get Into the Holiday Spirit at our Festive Event!
The holiday season is upon us, and we want to celebrate with you! On December 3, we'll light our giant Christmas tree at Village Hall and make merry with arts, crafts, food, face painting, holiday music, and plenty of good cheer. Santa Claus has even promised to send some snow to sunny Palmetto Bay that evening, temporarily turning the Village into a winter wonderland! Break out your Christmas sweaters, Santa hats, and bright red Rudolph noses, because it's time for a holiday celebration you'll never forget!
Paying Tribute to our First Responders
The Village was proud to host our First Responders Appreciation Day, together with Mercedes-Benz of Cutler Bay, at Village Hall last week. Members of the Police Force, Fire Department, and other heroes of our community were treated to a free lunch, snacks, desserts, and plenty of great conversation and camaraderie.

As a surprise treat, we were honored by a visit from a 30-member group of police officers from federal, state, and municipal police departments in Mexico who were in the area for a special training session hosted by the Miami-Dade Police Department's Public Safety Training Institute. The group participated in an 80-hour training class on Community Oriented Policing as part of the US State Department's International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Program. We were happy to meet them and thank them for joining our celebration!

Join Us to Discuss the Proposed Old Cutler Zoning District
Since August, the Palmetto Bay Community & Economic Development Department has held workshops and meetings to discuss the proposed Old Cutler neighborhood zoning district. On November 30, the department will hold an informational meeting to discuss the feedback received at those previous gatherings and explore options for changes that will make the neighborhood more user-friendly for residents while protecting the surrounding area and maintaining its quiet feel.

Join us to hear our ideas and share your own!
