Joyous Easter, Beloveds!
Many many thanks to all those who made the beginning of the first day of our 60 day Easter season so spectacular!! Thank you to Barbara Dean and the Altar Guild, Lane Norton and the Flower Guild, Joe Napoli, Jonathan Klein, and the choir, our visiting musicians, Wade McGlamery and the Acolytes (and the EYC hiding eggs), David Stooksbury and the LEMS, Anna Hiers and the Ushers, Doug Adkins and the Children's Ministry volunteers (everybody sounds like a band), Missy Hamlin and Jude Red Bear with the Nursery, Mark Hein who made the grounds lovely, Kendall Kookogey our Parish Administrator and everybody who helped with our beautiful (and very yummy) reception!
Blessings also to all who attended (or watched and worshipped with us on Youtube) our Easter Vigil and Easter Sunday services! Resurrection Sunday was glorious!! I'm so happy and proud to serve in this Body of Christ, who knows how to celebrate Divine Love and Life! Whoo hoo!!
peace and joy,
Mother Nikki+
Ps. 47:1

St. Greg's Kids (K-5th Grade): Join us for Sunday School and Children's Chapel on the first day of May, when the theme will be "Meeting Jesus on the Road." Jenifer Marquardt will be teaching the Sunday School lesson, with Jenifer Borg serving as shepherd. We will be looking at the story of Jesus' appearance to two disciples on the Road to Emmaus in Luke 24. Just as "their hearts were burning" during Jesus' teaching before they shared a sacramental meal with him - our kids will be reminded that, whenever we go to church, whenever we pray, whenever we read the Scriptures, whenever we share our faith . . . we practice opening our hearts to God.
And we will look at another encounter on the road during Children's Chapel, as we will discuss in detail the second reading for the day: the story in Acts 9 where Saul encounters Jesus on the Road to Damascus and experiences an amazing transformation.
Hope to see you Sunday at 9:15. We meet in the chapel, then head upstairs for Sunday School.
Mr. Doug

POETRY + 2
Please join us for a poetry reading from our new books! Rebecca Baggett’s The Woman Who Lives Without Money (Regal House Publishing) and Sarah Gordon’s The Lost Thing (Mercer University Press) both appeared in March of 2022, and we are eager to share our work with the St. Gregory community. The joint reading will be held in the Parish Hall at 7:00 on May 7, and it’s free and open to the public. Hey, even if you think you don’t like poetry, we’ll convert you! Note that we are not allowed to sell our books at the reading, but they are both available in local bookstores, on bookshop.org, and Amazon. PLEASE DO WEAR YOUR MASKS!

If you would like to volunteer, and/or coordinate, please contact Anna Hiers, vestry liaison to the Worship Committee, via email or @ 706-340-9799. Training will be provided.

all are welcome here
new visitors
near every week
a welcome face
all of us seek
from near and far
many do roam
on their journey
for a faith home
by happenstance
desire or fate
we come to love
and rest from hate
with nourishment
our faith will grow
to be a light
where we may go
