Take Me Out to the Ballgame with TEPS
Saturday, April 30th // 5:00pm

Tickets are on sale NOW for the Temple Emanu-El Preschool (TEPS) Night with the San Jose Giants! This is a great fundraiser, and a way to hang out with all of your friends. TEPS receives a portion of every ticket sold, and Ms. Barb will throw out the first pitch, with Cantor Shafritz will sing the National Anthem! Mark your calendars & get your tickets today!

Erev Shabbat Cantor Shafritz Installation Service & Special Oneg

Shabbat Shalom! We are excited to have you back joining us for services tonight. This is a special service today since it is the installation for Cantor Shafritz. We are honored to have her as our Cantor, and this service is a dedication to her.

Tonight's experience will be a multi-access service, with options to either attend in person, or watch online.  

Annual Meeting Save the Date
Sunday, May 15th 9:00am

Get ready for our Annual Meeting, being held IN PERSON this year! This is an important meeting and we need your voice. This year's annual meeting will be a little different and will include breakout groups to discuss and collect feedback on important topics and potential changes for the Temple's future.

We will have a brunch for everyone at 9am, with the meeting starting at 10am.

Israeli Dance
Tuesday, May 3rd // 7:30pm

Great exercise! Great fun! Great chance to meet new people!
Put on your dancin' shoes and come to our free Israeli dance class taught by our very own Loui Tucker. No dance experience necessary and we welcome everyone from the community to join in the fun.


Brotherhood Social Event with Shir Hadash
Wednesday, May 4th // 6:00pm

Temple Emanu-El’s Brotherhood and Shir Hadash’s Men’s Club have been getting together on an annual basis for well over 10 years. We always start with dinner followed by a sporting event. This year’s event is taking place on Wednesday, 5/4. We will be meeting for dinner at 6PM (most likely at Double D’s in Los Gatos) and enjoying some friendly games of bocce ball at Campo de Bocce in Los Gatos.  

Celebrate Israel's Independence Day

Explore and learn about different sites and cities of the Jewish state through a fun and interactive event. This year Temple Emanu-El is hosting the Tel Aviv booth!

Zoom Buddies Group

Are you hoping to meet others who share interests with you? Would you enjoy getting together with a small group for some chit chat on  Zoom? If so, Zoom Buddies is for you! This new discussion group, co-sponsored by Sisterhood and ZIGZAG, is here to help you feel more connected to our Temple community, meet new people and enjoy some lively small group discussions

Shabbat Shalom. Welcome to our year end Family Shabbat service, where we thank all of our teachers & Madrichim who have taught our Preschool and Religious School Students this year. They have gone above and beyond to help support all of our students this past year, and we are extremely grateful for everything they do each and every day. 

Temple Emanu-El's is joining San Jose's Climate Smart GoGreen Team Program
Monthly, Wednesdays,
starting May 11th

The GoGreen Teams program is a simple, easy and fun way to learn about climate and sustainability solutions, emergency preparedness and resilience and take actions! It is designed around 7 monthly hour long meetings with an intro meeting and a celebration meeting at the end.
 
The meetings will take place from 7-8PM on the second Wednesday of the month beginning in May

Shabbat in Nature

Join the Rabbi, Cantor, members of our Ritual Committee and your fellow congregants for our next Shabbat in Nature, today at 10am at Monte Bello Open Space PReserve in Los ALtos. You're invited to attend this 3 mile loop with everyone! Details and more below.

Charlotte - Movie at 3Below Theaters
Charlotte is an animated drama that tells the true story of Charlotte Salomon, a young German-Jewish painter who comes of age in Berlin on the eve of the Second World War. Who Are The Tamien?

Do you know who lived on Santa Clara Valley lands prior to California’s statehood? Join this session to learn about the history of the Tamien Nation whose aboriginal homeland is Santa Clara Valley. Chairwoman, Quirina Luna Geary will explore Tamien Nation history, culture, and how we can help them reach their aspirations to reacquire land to rebuild their Nation.

Help Respond to the Current Refugee Crisis: Did you know that in Santa Clara County, Jewish Family Services of Silicon Valley is one of only two nonprofits providing refugee resettlement and connected services for families and individuals?
