Executive Director's Message

Dear ELC Friends,

Time marches on - that is what the changing seasons remind me. Another year will soon be gone and what will we have to show for it? Please know that wherever you are on your journey this simple, peaceful 64-acre campus that rests in the heart of the Indian River Lagoon, is here for you.

We are focused every day on how we can educate, inspire, and empower people to be active stewards of the environment and their own well-being. It’s all connected.

Thank you for the things that you do (volunteer, sponsor, donate, participate) that make the ELC sustainable for our community.  We deeply value and appreciate the support.

In service and gratitude,

Barb

Donate Now and Support ELC's Mission

The ELC boat dock rebuild has made so much progress and Indian River Docks is keeping the job on schedule. ELC is hopeful the project will be completed by the end of November. The new dock will provide a more attractive, safe, and efficient facility to support the educational and environmental mission of the ELC. Special thanks to Ray and Susan Malamet, Hal and Brenda Reiter, Florida Inland Navigation District, John's Island Foundation, and everyone who contributed to the project. Support our mission to educate, inspire, and empower environmental stewardship and show everyone how much you love the ELC by purchasing a commemorative dock post for $2500. We want to have your plaque attached to one of the rebuilt recycled posts for the Grand Opening Celebration.

The ELC will continue to run Pontoon Boat Eco-Tours during construction. Tours are boarding at Jones Pier Conservation Area - 7770 Jungle Trail Vero Beach, just 10 minutes from the ELC.
