BACK STORY....
Back in 2013 when I originally created Lodz 1321 after returning from a trip to Poland, I was just beginning to incorporate my digitally manipulated photographs into my quilted works. At that time, I was using my small desktop printer and printing out 8x10 images on (paper backed) silk, sewing them together to create the whole image. Shortly after that I had found a high quality printing firm that prints the whole image on fabric, which I have been using ever since.
Recently I was going though some of these early works only to find that the quality of my desktop printing left much to be desired compared to those from the commercial printer that followed. And so, I began re-making some of them as "whole cloth" prints, which are considerably better versions. I am slowly retiring the "pieced" works that bore the same names as I re-do them. This is one of the revised works.
