World Read Aloud Day - February 5

On World Read Aloud Day, a few special guests joined Miss Sharon at the Manitowoc Public Library for a Special Preschool Storytime to celebrate.

Reading aloud to the children were United Way's Ben Peters and the Manitowoc Police Department's Jason Frieboth (and Mali!). Also in attendance was Women United member Sarah Yancey. Ben also promoted our Dolly Parton Imagination Library.

In addition, Women United member Kelsey Lueptow enjoyed some classroom reading at the Manitowoc-Two Rivers YMCA.

World Read Aloud Day is celebrated on the first Wednesday in February. The day is dedicated to the power of reading and promoting literacy by encouraging people to enjoy stories with others.
