New: National Vocation Awareness Week

New: Veterans Day is Tomorrow
Veterans Day is tomorrow, Thursday, November 11. All are invited to attend the flag raising ceremony at 7:15am. Please meet at the flag pole in front of the school. Lt. Col. Jason Miller (R98) will be joining us for morning prayer. We offer our continued prayers for veterans and active military. Also, in honor of veterans we will again have a "Missing Man Table" in the front entry way to honor POW's and MIA's.
Reminder: Alert Notification Test
Yesterday at 2:00pm we sent parents test message of our alert system. If you received this message you will receive weather related announcements and other important alerts this school year via text/phone call, based on your selected preferences in PowerSchool.

If you did not receive this test it is likely that you need to make some updates in your parent PowerSchool, under "SwiftReach Swift K12".

  • Log into PowerSchool here.
  • Click "SwiftReach SwiftK12" on the left side.
  • Click "Contact Information" at the top right.
  • Update the phone numbers that you wish to receive notifications.
  • Click "Save Changes" when done.
  • Click on “Alert Preferences” at the top right.
  • Check mark the phone numbers that you wish to receive notifications on.
  • Click "Save Changes" when done.

Reminder: Sign up for Thanksgiving Pies
On Wednesday, November 17, Xavier will be having its annual Thanksgiving Mass and meal. As part of this tradition, XPX serves pie to the staff and students. Please see the following link if you would like to donate a pie to this event. When ordering 10" Chocolate, Apple Pie, or Pumpkin Pie from Kathy's Pies, indicate the pie flavor you selected on the sign-up and ask for it to be "added to the Xavier Order for Nov. 17 delivery. Please cut pie into 8 slices."

Reminder: Freshman Volleyball Photos Needed for Yearbook
Our Yearbook students are currently in search of additional photos taken from the freshman volleyball season. Parents who have photos from freshman volleyball games and would like to share them with our Yearbook class are asked to please contact Mrs. Phillips at lauren.phillips@xaviersaints.org. Thank you!
Reminder: Yearbooks Now Available for Ordering
Parents may now place orders for a 2021-2022 yearbook. Standard yearbooks cost $67 and personalized yearbooks are $83.
Reminder: Fall Musical Tickets On Sale Now!
Tickets are now on sale for Xavier’s fall musical, “Newsies.” Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for K-12 students and seniors (65+). Tickets are sold online only at XavierSaints.org/Tickets.

Newsies will be presented in the Regis-LaSalle Theatre November 12-14. Showtimes are 7 p.m. on Friday/Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sunday.
Reminder: 2021 State Football Semifinal Information
Congratulations to Coach Schulte, his assistants and the Xavier Saints football team for their 24-13 State Quarter-Final 4A playoff victory over Webster City on November 5th! That win places us in the 4A Semifinal game on Thursday November 11 at 7:00 PM against Winterset at the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls.
 
Reminder: Raking Leaves for Senior Citizens
Thank you to all who helped on Community Service Day. While the students did a great job that day, there is still work to be done. Reminder: Last Chance to Join Booster Club
The Xavier Booster Club 2021/22 sponsorship program’s deadline to join is December 1, 2021. If you have not joined yet, please consider joining.
 
The Xavier Booster Club is a volunteer organization dedicated to supporting Xavier academics, athletics and fine arts. We help facilitate, promote, and provide funding for all school related activities. The Xavier Booster Club provides hundreds of volunteer hours and thousands of dollars a year to enhance the high standards and success of Xavier High School and its students.
 
For the current school year, the Xavier Booster Club allocated $89,026 across 30+ XHS programs. Funds raised through the sponsorship program, concessions and the golf outing support these allocations.
