From the Pastor
Sunday was another great day! It was so good to have the choir singing in the 11:00 service. We welcomed Becky Wise in the 11:00 service on promise of her letter. Also, we welcomed Shirley Harris this past Wednesday night upon promise of her letter. Please welcome Becky and Shirley to the family when you see them!

Thank you to everyone who participated in the prayer vigil for Jade Bernard. I also asked that you pray for Daniel Schommer, Vince Bennett, and Donna Spiers. All of the time slots were filled with multiple names! I gave the sign-up lists to Jade’s mother, Christy, as an encouragement of all of you who were praying.

Work began for the gym site preparation this past Monday! It is exciting to see this activity, as it reminds us that a gym will soon be erected that will serve the families of this church for generations to come. God’s favor has been upon us!

Don’t forget the Fall Festival this Sunday, 3:00 – 5:00pm. We are asking for several crock pots of chili, some candy for the children, and volunteers to help. Mostly, we are asking for your participation! I am looking forward to a great time of fellowship with the RPBC family as we enjoy some great food, fun and fall weather!

This past Sunday I began a 4-part sermon series based upon O.S. Hawkins’ book, The Joshua Code – 52 Scripture Verses Every Believer Should Know. Beginning in January, we will learn one verse per week in 2023 and recite it together in the worship service. Hawkins’ book also contains a devotion for each of the 52 verses. You may order your own, if you would like to have a copy. Or, just contact the church office if you would like for us to order one for you. The price is $12 per book.
