Classroom Volunteer Sign-Up Process

The sign-up for in-person volunteer opportunities in your child’s class will take place on SignUp.com. Here is the link to all classroom sign ups! https://signup.com/go/snCzOkF

This year, all in-class opportunities for grades PK3 - 7th are being handled through this sign-up. There will no longer be paper forms sent by the room parent. For the initial round of sign-ups, the sign ups are limited to having only one parent per household sign up for no more than one in-person activity per child. After the sign-up has been live for a week, the restriction will be lifted and a follow-up communication will be sent stating that any remaining spots may be filled.

In all instances, parents seeking to volunteer in-person must be in compliance with the school’s current requirements. Additionally, records of completion Protecting God’s Children training and the Online Illinois Mandated Reporter Training must be on file with the school office. Click on the following link for more information https://drive.google.com/file/d/1tDscglUOfIUhJ6tjRFt4Cemve4Edoj3d/view?usp=sharing or contact Peggy Evans at [email protected].

Classroom Specific Volunteer Opportunities

Items you may see on your child’s sign up include, facilitating classroom parties, chaperoning field trips, helping watch students on Teacher Appreciation Day, assisting with Falcon Fun Day & helping with the end of the year picnic. There are several items listed on the sign up that do not currently have a firm date. Dates and times will be communicated from each classroom room parent as they are obtained from the school.

Please note that signing up to provide drinks or snacks for a party does NOT involve coming into the classroom. Drinks and snacks can be brought in by your child or dropped off at the main office. All snacks and drinks must be selected from the approved snack list. Due to information that may have changed, please check package labels. Any item that may contain peanuts and/or tree nuts may not be distributed. Other allergies may exist in the classroom, please be sure to contact the teacher for that information, so that every child can enjoy the treat with their classmates.
