Hebrews 11:13 Seeing the Future

"A society grows great when old men plant trees in whose shade they shall never sit." This is from an ancient proverb. It's true, isn't it? We give generously so that others are impacted in a positive way. Have you ever considered how our generosity provides "shade" for others we might never see or know. What a good God we serve! Your generosity has a generational impact on those in Malawi, or anywhere in the world. We don't know how God will use our gifts, but we know his promises are true, and our generosity will be effective for more than the present. Here are some "shade tree" stories.

Goat Farm is a Game Changer

We always look to God for sustainable change while we seek to empower those in Malawi. A goat farm seemed to be a big dream, but one with big, sustainable, generational change. This month we can share the goat farm is a reality. This means more gifts of goats can be given. Creating economic sustainability and food stability. Praise God.

Off A Duck's Back

When working with youth or children it can be hard to hold their attention. The goal is sharing the love of Jesus and what the Bible teaches. One way to do that is to engage them in sports. What they learn now will impact their future and their own children. So many life lessons as well as biblical lessons are learned. Click the photo for the whole story.

Generation to Generation

Do you remember your mother or a mother figure telling you stories? Reading to you? Maybe explaining a life lesson? What about in your youth group and sharing stories or life challenges? This is how Mother Groups pass on faith and wisdom to the next generation in Malawi. Communication with wisdom really changes the future. To read the story, click on the photo.

Hunger Crisis Response

The hunger crisis in Malawi continues. Thanks to our generous Y-Malawi family we are feeding more than 5,000 each month. We will do so until the Hunger Season ends in late April. Joyce is a grandmother caring for 4 children. Our team found the family without food for 3 days. Joyce asked that we share this message. "People will be amazed one day when they are rewarded for helping those who are helpless, like us. May God's face sine upon you all." Click the photo to help.

"Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. For by it the people of old received their commendation." Hebrews 11:1-2 ESV
