Employee-led Workplace Innovation:

From Goals to Game Plans

Hello Lori-Ann,

NLWIC, along with our partners at the Workplace Innovation Network for Canada (WINCan), is hosting an in-person workshop on December 8 at the Emera Innovation Exchange in St. John’s where we’ll turn one of your organization's workplace issues into an opportunity for development and innovation!

Employee-led workplace innovation is the social process of mobilizing new ideas:

  • Improve performance on your organizational mission
  • Enhance quality of work-life for employees
  • Address recruitment & retention challenges
  • Strengthen diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives
  • Elevate other corporate social responsibility programs, such as sustainability or community development

Can you identify a “pain point” (priority focus area or issue) within your organization you’d like to improve?

Our expert team will provide resources and coaching to help you set goals around your pain point and identify next steps to take at both the employee and organizational levels. We’ll share research insights and exemplary practices used by successful European organizations to help reach your goals, and include a session focused on how to engage older workers as innovators to sustain and extend their participation in the labour market.

We guarantee your team will leave this workshop with at least one actionable insight or next-step direction to advance employee-led workplace innovation in your organization, or else WINCan will follow up to make sure you get value for your time!

Seats are limited, so take advantage of this free opportunity to enhance your organization’s workplace development!

Established in 2017 by the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador and administered by College of the North Atlantic, NL Workforce Innovation Centre (NLWIC) has a provincial mandate to provide a coordinated, central point of access to engage all labour market stakeholders about challenges, opportunities and best practices in workforce development.

NLWIC’s goal is to promote the research, testing and sharing of ideas and models of innovation in workforce development that will positively impact employability, employment and entrepreneurship within the province’s labour force and particularly underrepresented groups. Funding for NLWIC is provided by the Department of Immigration, Population Growth and Skills (IPGS) under the Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador Labour Market Development Agreement.
