Florida-bred Queen Maxima, a winner of her last two starts, has been installed as the 3-5 morning line favorite for the $100,000 Wishing Well at Santa Anita Park Saturday, a six-furlong turf contest for fillies and mares.

Racing-Related Fatality Rate at HISA Racetracks Hits Historic Low in 2024

LEXINGTON, KY-For the first time in the United States since data has been recorded, the racing-related fatality rate at racetracks subject to the Horseracing Integrity and Safety Authority's (HISA) rules fell below 1.00 per 1,000 starts for a calendar year.

Dixie Belle Rescheduled for Monday at Oaklawn

Mag Racing LLC's G W'S Girl, a winner of two of three career starts including the $150,000 Mockingbird at Oaklawn in her last start, returns Monday as the expected favorite in the $150,000 Dixie Belle over the same track. Florida-bred G W’S Girl will face seven other 3-year-old fillies at six furlongs in the rescheduled Dixie Belle—originally part of the Oaklawn card canceled last Saturday due to weather.
