Welcome to the collaborative magic of theatre!

Get a rare glimpse into the mysteries of how a theatre production is brought to the stage. Interested in volunteering but don't know where to start? If so, Theatre 101 is for you. And it's free! You'll learn how each department works - how plays are chosen - what the Director does - about Producers, Set Designers, Lighting and Sound and much more. Our in-house experts will explain it all. You'll also get a tour of the dark places where the audience never goes. Coffee and goodies will be supplied. Join us TOMORROW, Saturday - 41 Hudson Ave NW - across from the Salmar Grand.

New Downtown Ticket Agent

Due to a change in circumstances, Wild Craft Mercantile is no longer selling Shuswap Theatre tickets. We thank them for their service over the past two years.

We are pleased to announce that, starting next week, Anne DeWolff and her staff (Jenn and Andréa) of Choose Refill will take on this important role. Choose Refill is located at #304 - 251 Trans Canada Hwy NW, behind Wendy's and Boston Pizza, previously Benjamin Moore Paints. Store hours are Tuesday - Friday 10am - 5pm; Saturday 10am - 4pm; closed Sunday, Monday and Statutory Holidays.

TREASURE

ISLAND

Rehearsals for Treasure Island are well underway, with the cast learning swashbuckling maneuvers during a stage combat workshop last weekend. Award winning director, Julia Body is delighted with the hard work of the cast and the amazing work being done by all the designers.

The play runs from November 2 - 19, with Pay What You Can Thursday, November 9 and a Relaxed Performance Sunday, November 12. Tickets available online (button below) and at Choose Refill (see above).

Fight scenes, loud noises. The play may be best enjoyed by ages 10+.

SENIORS THEATRE

Our very popular SENIORS THEATRE began for the season on Tuesday, September 19. Join this enthusiastic group at 10:00am for 90 minutes or so, on the first and third Tuesday of each month or drop-in when you can. (Next session October 3) Despite the name, Senior's Theatre is for EVERYONE! The only requirements are that you are (or become) a member of Shuswap Theatre and drop $2 in the kitty each session if you are able. For more information, email Al.
