November 29, 2022
Greetings!
There is a beautiful kestrel that I look for each morning on my way to work, and around 2pm on weekend afternoons. In the winter, I also find myself looking for seasonal Cooper’s hawks and other raptors. This season is a perfect time for experiencing wildlife in Point Reyes. The Seashore comes alive with diversity and abundance, and I feel so very lucky to live and work nearby. I hope that many of you can come enjoy Point Reyes this season, or if not, find ways to experience it from afar.

The Peregrine falcon in the image above was taken by photographer Pete Myers at Limantour Beach. It’s images like these, when I’m away and when I miss the kestrel on my way to work, that help me feel more connected to this park. Below you’ll find more gifts from us and photos from Pete that will bring the Seashore to life on your screen.
Giving Tuesday
Today on Giving Tuesday we kick off our annual fundraising appeal. I invite you to honor the park you love to help us meet our $140,200 goal. All gifts up to $25,000 made through December 31st will be doubled. Please use this link to make your gift today
We also ask that you consider supporting one of our numerous Youth in Parks partners who work year-round with youth from their local communities. The work we do would not be possible without each and every one of them.
Your Year-End Investment
Year-end gifts give us a strong start for our conservation, education, and community building work in 2023. With your help, we will expand our Youth in Parks program that welcomes youth from underserved communities to the Seashore, plan new adult and family classes and programs, and fund crucial research and conservation projects.

Over the last year your love and support for this park has inspired us to strengthen our commitment to mapping a park for all. Thank you for considering making a year-end gift to PRNSA. We hope you are able to enjoy the wonders, wildlife, and magic of the Seashore this winter!
With gratitude,
Heather Clapp

Bird Life on the Beach
Pete Myers’s Commonweal photography exhibit, Bird Life on the Beach, captures the intimate moments of birds living, fighting, feeding, and dying on the beaches of Point Reyes and Bodega Bay. Each photo shares a unique glimpse into the lives of local birds. Below you'll find a short video showcasing some of Myers's recent bird photography.
Pete Myers's exhibit will be featured at Commonweal in Bolinas, CA from now until January 13, 2023, Monday - Friday, 10:00am - 4:00pm.
