If you’re considering buying a home this year, CHFA’s Homebuyer’s Roadmap can be a resource for you to learn streamlined information about the process. The online, interactive resource features stops on the homebuying journey, including homebuyer education, understanding credit, inspections, and appraisals. You can customize your experience based on where you are in the homebuying process. The Homebuyer’s Roadmap also includes links to additional online resources if you want to dig deeper into certain topics.


The Homebuyer’s Roadmap has become a popular resource since it launched in September 2023. Last year alone, 2,396 people visited the roadmap online and 325 requested print copies. Through the resource, CHFA hopes to engage homebuyers on every part of your journey, helping you feel more informed about the steps in the homebuying process, while delivering readily accessible answers to your most pressing questions.

join in building legacy: a black homeownership series

You are invited to a new homeownership series from CHFA, Building Legacy: A Black Homeownership Series. During this series, attendees will explore barriers and how to overcome such challenges, as well as the tools and financial resources available to them to become homeowners and create generational wealth. 


The first event will be held March 22nd from Noon to 2:00pm at CrossPurpose in Denver. In this first conversation, Understanding and Overcoming Systemic Barriers, attendees will learn how to navigate and overcome systemic challenges and advocate for greater access to homeownership. CHFA and industry experts will be on hand at the event.


This series is meant to provide a supportive environment for attendees to learn and ask questions. Each event will build upon the previous one, but attendance is not required at all events. Participants can join the event series at any point.
