On Tuesday, Nov. 15, FAU Tech Runway held its annual Maverick Reception, where more than 200 members of the community celebrated eight years of entrepreneurship and innovation, and honored FAU President John Kelly.

Guident Selected for Autonomous Shuttling
 
Boca Raton Innovation Campus (BRiC) selected Guident Corp, a Venture Class 8 company, to provide an autonomous shuttle service for a 2.1-mile fixed route with eleven stops within BRiC and connecting to the Boca Raton Tri-Rail station, the most frequented station in South Florida.
 
Pitch Success for Synchronyx
 
Synchronyx, a Venture Class 9 company, won the Ignite Florida 2022 startup summit pitch competition. In addition, they have had a research protocol study accepted into JMIR Publications, a peer-reviewed journal.
 
Updated Version for Emergency App
 
Emergency App, a Venture Class 10 company, launched an updated version of their app. They will now have geolocated NOAA warnings, evacuation zones and orders, county emergency information, flight delays and more on the way.

Flo-Ops is a Finalist
 
Out of more than 30 startups who competed, Flo-Ops, a Venture Class 10 company, was selected as one of the three finalists in the 2022 South Florida Harvard Business School Pitch Competition.

Entrepreneur of the Year
 
Jan Bednar, CEO of ShipMonk, a Venture Class 1 company, was named the 2022 National Award Entrepreneur of the Year by EY U.S.! This award recognizes and celebrates business leaders who embody the true spirit of entrepreneurship - grit, ambition and passion for their employees, their missions and the clients they serve.

Honorlock Shares Information at Online Learning Event
 
Honorlock, a Venture Class 2 company, recently took part in the Online Learning Consortium's Accelerate event, for a presentation titled β€œIt's a Virtual World: How to Use Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in Online Learning.”
