GA-AIMH Established at Georgia State University

More than 200 leaders in the field of infant and early childhood mental health participated in a day-long event to celebrate the establishment of the Georgia Association for Infant Mental Health: Birth through Five (GA-AIMH) at Georgia State University. GA-AIMH is housed in the Center for Leadership in Disability, which is part of the School of Public Health. In addition to celebrating the creation of GA-AIMH, the kick-off event looked ahead to opportunities to expand Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health (IECMH) initiatives across the state. Upcoming Training Parents Interacting With Infants (PIWI) Presented by Dr. Tweety Yates, the developer of PIWI Location: Georgia State University (in-person) Date: Friday, March 17, 9am-3pm Parents Interacting With Infants (PIWI) is an evidenced-based set of practices that focuses on enhancing the social and emotional development of infants and toddlers. The training emphasizes the importance of expanding on and strengthening caregiver-child interactions and relationships.

Registration will open in January, 2023. GA-AIMH members will receive priority and FREE registration. Non-members will be charged a $25 registration fee.
