Decorate the Health for Haiti

Clinic Christmas Tree

Help decorate our Christmas tree in the Assembly Room. Items needed for the Haiti clinic, which can be placed on the Christmas tree, include: muscle rub, antibiotic cream, gauze, tape, Band-Aids, ACE bandages, thermometers, wooden tongue depressors, non-latex gloves, hand lotion, small cakes of soap, packaged toothbrushes, small children’s toys (matchbox cars, jump ropes, etc.), barrettes, and hair ribbons.

Deacon Hand-Crafted Cards for Sale

Christmas Cards will be available for sale on Sunday, December 4 after each service of worship; 10:15 in the Assembly Room and 12:00 outside the office. The sale is in support of our mission partners, CETANA in Myanmar and Villages in Partnership in Malawi. Hand-crafted packages of cards are designed and created by members of Nassau, and are available for $15 - $20.

Advent Service of Remembrance (In-Person)

Advent and Christmas can be challenging for those who are grieving and for whom the season is tender. Join us for a quiet and contemplative Service of Remembrance including scripture, song, and prayer on Sunday, December 11 at 2:00 PM in the chapel.

Advent Poinsettias

You are invited to give a poinsettia in memory or in honor of a loved one. A full listing will be printed in the December 18 bulletin and poinsettias will be delivered to the church members who are grieving, ill, or shut-in. You can sign up and pay on the link below or stop in the church office Sunday mornings to fill out a card with checks payable to Nassau Presbyterian Church. The suggested donation $20. Deadline: December 11.

Newark Boys Chorus presents 'Tis the Season'

December 10 at 5:00 p.m.

All are invited to a concert presented by the Newark Boys Chorus School in a return engagement at Nassau.  The program will feature joyous holiday favorites and works written especially for the NBCS Concert Chorus.  This free concert will include an offering in support of the school.  Come and be lifted up by these remarkable young musicians!

Contemplative Prayer Group this Advent

Thursdays, December 1, 8, 15, 22 at 7:00 p.m. in Niles Chapel


Join us this Advent for a series of explorations on contemplative prayer. Each short exploration will be followed by a time for contemplative prayer. New and experienced meditators alike are welcome. No registration necessary.

2023 Calendars

The Mass Incarceration Task Force is collecting 2023 calendars to send to East Jersey State Prison in Rahway. This gift from NPC is greatly appreciated; you can view a thank you card for last year’s calendars on our website. The calendars must not have wire, but staples are fine.

  • Appalachia Service Project, July 9–15, Age 14 and up ($450/person)
  • Taizé Community & Paris, July 19–31, Age 15 and up ($850/person, land only)


Registration deadline for Taizé & Paris trip is THIS Thursday, December 1.



Registration forms are available in the Youth Room (304) and the literature rack outside the church office. Scholarships are available.

While the building remains locked on weekdays, administrative staff are onsite full time (Monday thru Thursday 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Friday working remotely) and program staff are in the office regularly. We have installed a doorbell at the ramp entrance if you need access. If you just need to drop something off, the locked drop box at the bottom of the ramp is checked daily.
