Applications now being accepted for the 2023 Lois Britt Memorial Industry Scholarship

Applications are now being accepted for the 2023 Lois Britt Memorial Pork Industry Scholarship. The scholarship is sponsored by CME Group and the National Pork Industry Foundation and managed and administered by the National Pork Producers Council. 


Ten $2,500 scholarships are awarded annually to current college students who intend to pursue a career in the pork industry and who exhibit characteristics representative of future pork industry leaders.


All entries must be submitted by JANUARY 3, 2023 to be accepted.

For those of you who need hours, here are some upcoming classes before the end of the year:


In Person classes

December 9, 9 a.m. - 4:15 p.m. - 6 hour animal waste plus 6 hour waste water class, Lunch will be on your own, no cost for the class. Class will be in the auditorium at the Lois G. Britt Agricultural Center at 165 Agriculture Drive in Kenansville. To register, call Duplin Co. office at 910-296-2143.
