Happy Holidays

Our students have exhibited a lot of school spirit throughout the year. That spirit and excitement will be on display again as we get closer to Winter Break. Please see below for the spirit days hosted by Student Council and encourage your child to participate.

On behalf of everyone at NRMS, I wish our entire school community a happy holiday season. I hope that everyone enjoys the upcoming season with family and friends. As always, please do not hesitate to contact your child's teacher, school counselor, grade level principal or me with any questions.

Thanks,

Jeff

Important Notes:

Washington D.C. Extended Field Trip

Students registered for the 8th grade field trip to Washington D.C. should start thinking about roommates. Remember, there will be 4 students assigned to each room. A Google Form will be emailed to the students after Winter Break, so room assignments can be completed. Note, the second payment is due Thursday, January 20.

Tailgate

The Winter Tailgate on Thursday, January 6 is a great way for students to get involved at NRMS. Students can purchase wristbands for $5.00 in the main office starting on Tuesday, January 4. Please note that we will only sell 300 tickets for this event. The ticket provides students with pizza, water, and chips during the tailgate along with entrance into the 8th grade girls and boys basketball games. Once the first game starts, students can be picked up at any time from the Gold Gym. At the conclusion of the second game around 6:15 PM, all remaining students should be picked up at the main entrance. We encourage all who attend the tailgate to stay for both basketball games.

Keith Hawkins

On Wednesday, January 26, NRMS is excited to welcome back Keith Hawkins, an international speaker who will talk about bringing our students together through his program, "The Power of ONE." Keith believes that life's challenges are an opportunity to step up and make a difference. Even through struggle, Keith believes that you can do and become whatever you want in our great nation as long as you're willing to step up to the challenges along the way.
