Reception for Moody Project Wall: Phillip Pyle II, Spectrum Sammy
Celebrating Black History Month
Thursday, February 6th, 6 - 8 p.m. | Moody Center for the Arts
In recognition of Black History Month, please join us to celebrate Phillip Pyle II's work Spectrum Sammy, the latest installation in the Moody Project Wall series. In collaboration with the Center for African and African American Studies, the reception will include remarks from the artist, music by DJ Flash Gordon Parks, and light beverages.

The Owl Creative: Crochet Flowers
Saturday, February 22th, 4 - 6 p.m. | Moody Center for the Arts
Join us for a creative evening of crafting and community with the Crochet Club! Learn how to make your own flower-inspired crocheted items, from coasters and flower charms to intricate crochet flowers. Whether you’re a seasoned crocheter or a complete beginner, this hands-on activity will guide you through creating flower-themed pieces.
Come enjoy a relaxing and fun evening of crochet, conversation, and boba!

Muse and Mood: Student Art & Performance Showcase
March 28th & 29th, 6 - 8 p.m. | Moody Center for the Arts
Interested in showcasing your music, performance, or artwork at the Moody Center for the Arts? Submit your work to the Moody Student Collaborative! On March 28 and 29, we will be hosting an art and performance popup at the Moody featuring your work. On Friday, March 28, 6-8 pm, there will be a student exhibition opening and several student performances. Artworks will continue to be set up and displayed for a full day on Saturday, March 29, and then can be picked up in the evening. Depending on the amount of submissions, we may be selecting certain artworks or performances.
Applications will close on March 1st!

The Owl Creative: Brandon Ballengée and BioArt
Thursday, March 6th, 6 - 8 p.m. | Moody Center for the Arts
Join us for an exciting workshop with Brandon Ballengée on March 6th from 6-8 PM in the Flexspace! The event will feature a short presentation where Ballengée will share insights from his unique work as both an artist and biologist, exploring the relevance of his art within today’s environmental conversation. Afterward, there will be a hands-on gyotaku printing workshop. Stay tuned for more details, and we hope to see you there!
