Needed: School Supplies
Starting the New School Year Ready to Learn
Our annual School Supply Drive is underway, and we need your help! Before Chicago Lights Summer Day ends the first week of August, we want to have filled backpacks for each of the students to use to begin their new school year this fall. We're also collecting items for the children and youth connected with our Chicago Lights Urban Farm, Dance Academy, and Tutoring programs.

School supplies to fill backpacks for these children and youth are being gathered at morning Coffee Hour on Sundays and at the reception desk during the week. You can also sign up there to help receive, sort, and distribute school supplies and backpacks.

Details and a list of what is needed is posted online.

To volunteer with or learn more about the School Supply Drive, stop by Coffee Hour this Sunday morning or contact Anne Ellis at 312.573.3369.

fourStephen Ministry's Caring Presence
Listening and Praying, One-to-One
Recognizing that many of us come to a point in our lives when we are struggling to sort things out, Fourth Church Stephen Ministers are available to be God's listening presence.

Through ongoing, confidential one-to-one relationships for as much as one hour per week, Stephen Ministers provide love and care to those who are experiencing challenging times.

If you or someone you know would benefit from a relationship with a Stephen Minister or you would like to learn more about Stephen Ministry at Fourth Church, please visit our Stephen Ministry web page or stop by Coffee Hour this Sunday, when Stephen Ministers will be on hand to talk about their ministry of care.
