1st Annual Winter Coat Swap and Share

Thanks to those who have donated coats for our 1st Annual Winter Coat Swap!
Donate clean, gently used, or new coats - all sizes are welcome! Coat donations are being accepted from November 21st to December 2nd at all open library locations. You are welcome to donate without obligation to swap. Donations of new hats, scarves, and gloves will also be accepted and most welcome!
Join us on December 3rd, 12-3, for our first Winter Coat Swap and Share! A donation is not required to receive a coat.

Quogue Wildlife Refuge 'Birds of Prey' Workshop @ Mastic Rec Center
Thursday, 12/1, 4:30 - 5:30 PM
This program will introduce families to live birds of prey as they meet the Quogue Wildlife Refuge's resident raptors! Learn the personal history of each native New York animal and why it lives at the Quogue Wildlife Refuge, as well as the adaptations that allow these animals to be such incredible hunters. Families with at least one child aged 4 years through grade 7.

Dr. Seuss’s classic How the Grinch Stole Christmas! encourages readers to “grow your heart three sizes” through the celebration of family reading, giving from the heart and community spirit. Join the Grinch for National Grinch Day, December 1st. Families with at least one child grade K-6.

Case Manager

Get help with everyday problems. A Case Manager from Colonial Youth and Family Services can assist patrons with issues relating to housing, insurance, food stamps, emergency services, and other advocacy resources and referrals. Appointments required.

Wolves of North America
Tuesday, 12/6, 6:00 - 7:00 PM Via Zoom
Registration is now open! Learn about North America's wildest residents - wolves - during a Zoom presentation with a Wolf Conservation Center wolf expert. Attendees will be exposed to the history, ecology, and biology of wolves and will learn about the current challenges facing wolf recovery across the United States. An emphasis will be placed on endangered species recovery programs for critically endangered red wolves and Mexican gray wolves. Open to all.
