Family Promise at Grace

THANK YOU to everyone who took part in Family Promise this week! It was quite cold, with snow, and we were so glad to be able to provide a safe and warm home for 2 families in the midst of it. Our thanks this week go to:

2024 Giving Statements

The 2024 year-end giving statements are complete and you should have received an email containing a link to access yours.

For members with no email address listed in Realm, we will be mailing a hard copy.

If you did not receive an email with the link or if you would like to receive a hard copy, please contact the Church Office.

Please note that the non-tax deductible items included in your Realm giving account are not included in that statement. If you would like a statement that includes those non-deductible items, just contact our Financial Secretary Lori Brown (LLBZMS@msn.com).

It's time to share your ideas for our 2025 Outreach Partnership Grant Program! 

Submit your suggestions by Friday!

Each year, Grace makes Partnership Grants to local non-profit aid organizations. Through this program, we partner financially and experientially with local non-profit organizations which serve to assist those in need in greater Rock Hill and York County area.

In addition to awarding a monetary grant to each partner, Grace will learn about, connect with, pray for, support, and work alongside the organization, its staff, and its clients. It is our hope that through this partnership, we will all grow in community. 

WE NEED YOUR HELP TO MAKE THIS A SUCCESS!

The Outreach Committee invites you to submit the names of local non-profit aid organizations that might benefit from our partnership and funding, especially at this time. We will be collecting names through January, and in February, we will begin contacting organizations to invite them to apply for a Partnership Grants.

Hospitality (the ‘coffee hour’ between services) is simple and a great way to take part in the fellowship ministry of Grace.

The Parish Life Committee has created an easy "How To" for anyone interested in hosting hospitality! This How To includes details and people to contact for help.

Grace is Going to a Basketball Game!

Hello Basketball fans! Did you know Grace Lutheran is among the leading Rock Hill churches in supporting Winthrop University in their athletics and fine arts? Seems so fitting since our origin is steeped in Winthrop University history. I, for one, am very proud we continue to keep our connection strong.



Your Parish Life committee has chosen Saturday, February 15 -2:00pm at the Winthrop Coliseum as a chance for all of us to go and cheer our Eagles on in their game against the highly ranked High Point Panthers. A joint statement from the Bishops of Region Nine

The ELCA Bishops of Region 9 (Of which we, the South Carolina Synod, are a part) have shared a joint statement responding to current events affecting those we have been called to care for - the hungry, the thirsty, the stranger, the naked, the imprisoned - and our Baptismal call to strive for justice and peace in all the earth.
