November 2022 Newsletter
November is National Native American Heritage Month! This month will bring awareness and celebrate the many contributions made by Native people in the United States.
On November 9, 2022, BCDI-Atlanta held its annual Policy Briefing, during which we introduced and featured our 2022 Lifted Voices Fellows. This year’s fellowship was partly funded by a grant from Fund Georgia’s Future. We are thankful for our partners and stakeholders for supporting early education policy goals to ensure Black Children Count!

Become a CDA Professional Development Specialist™

The Council for Professional Recognition is recruiting ECE professionals to become Child Development Associate (CDA) Professional Development (PD) Specialists™. As mentors and coaches to CDA® candidates, PD Specialists are critical to the success of each candidate and their journey towards a successful assessment. If you enjoy supporting early educators in accomplishing their career goals to provide young children with meaningful learning experiences, consider becoming a PD Specialist.

Thank you to The Primerica Foundation for your grant funding to support our Powerful Families program. BCDI-Atlanta appreciates your investment in our mission to improve and advance the quality of life for Black children and families through education and advocacy!
