Healthy Habits and Wildly Important Goals

Welcome to this year's Healthy Holiday Challenge! To start off our Healthy Holiday Challenge, this week's theme will be on goal setting and building habits! As we begin this year's challenge, it is the perfect time to set your goals! Take a moment to watch this week's video, which illustrates the importance of not just having goals, but having ones that are wildly important to you. Goals not only ground us in our professional lives, but they can also provide accountability and motivation in our personal lives.

With any goal, there are many factors that influence our ability to accomplish them. One of the most influential and essential components to making progress towards our goals are our habits. Habits tend to have such an impact on our goals because they directly influence our automatic behaviors. Having good habits helps us to take steps towards and reach our goals more effectively and efficiently. Conversely, bad habits can act as barriers to our success and can slow or even prevent our success.

As you progress through the week and the challenge as a whole, think about what goals you have and how your habits affect them. Keep an eye out for this week's postcards as they take a deeper dive into goal setting and making/ breaking habits.
Feel free to print out the pledge and tracker sheets below! Post these sheets at your desk or wherever you need for a good reminder and to help with your accountability!

Going along with this week's theme, your challenge is for each member of your team (those participating in the Healthy holiday challenge) to choose one habit that they want to build or improve upon and to work on it throughout the week!

For an added challenge, go ahead and add your challenge photo on this week's album! Follow these steps to do so!

  • Write down the habit you chose on a sticky note/piece of paper!
  • Take a picture holding up the paper or of the paper itself!
  • Post the picture using the link below!
Healthy Holiday Giveaway

For this year's Healthy Holiday Challenge, each registered participant is eligible to pick up a Healthy Holiday Giveaway! This giveaway will support you during the challenge and must be picked up on campus during a designated pick up time. Giveaways will NOT be mailed.

To pick up the giveaway, stop by the Tang Center Bancroft Patio during the following pick up times:

Wed, November 9: 11am-1pm
Thu, November 10: 11am-1pm
Thu, November 17: 11am-1pm

NOTE: Look for a table that has a sign for the Healthy Holiday Challenge Giveaway!
