NAECR Knowledge event explores the necessity
of secure data storage in early childhood research
With the widespread use and increase in popularity of the Microsoft OneDrive cloud storage service, the application is becoming a must among researchers in all disciplines.
Secure data storage — particularly the OneDrive app — was the focus of the Sept. 30 Fall NAECR Knowledge event. Early childhood researchers attended the virtual discussion to discuss the most efficient, effective ways to use OneDrive.

Kristi Collins, Microsoft learning consultant based in California, shared information about the main features and abilities of OneDrive and SharePoint, and answered questions about the apps.

NAECR Networking and NAECR Knowledge are an ongoing series of networking and training events designed to enhance early childhood research across the NU system.

The Fall 2021 NAECR Networking event is Nov. 18. The discussion will highlight the latest early childhood research across the University of Nebraska system and provide time for attendees to connect with colleagues and brainstorm research and collaboration opportunities.
For more information on NAECR activities, contact Sommer Fousek, project coordinator, at sfousek2@unl.edu.

NAECR seeks to help early childhood researches form teams for NU Collaboration Initiative funding

The NU Collaboration Initiative is designed to help University of Nebraska researchers become more competitive for extramural funding by fostering meaningful collaborations that leverage the full intellectual capacity of faculty across all four NU campuses.

The opportunity includes funds for established cross-campus teams, as well as teams yet to be formed.

Researchable topics are not administratively predefined, but applications must be designed to strengthen the team’s future funding proposal. Specific information can be found in the RFA.

Proposals are due Jan. 17, 2022.

NAECR has established a systemwide early childhood network that can be used to connect researchers who are interested in pursuing this opportunity.

If you are interested in NU Collaboration Initiative funding and would like to explore how your interests might align with a cross-campus team, please contact Sommer Fousek at sfousek2@unl.edu.
Here are recent publications from NAECR researchers:
