The R. Jack Middlemass Memorial Scholarship was established out of love for Jack and inspired by Jack’s love for baseball and its athletes. In the spirit of Jack’s desire to help others achieve, the fund assists aspiring young people in pursuit of post secondary education. In helping further their scholastic endeavors, the scholarship provides recipients with greater opportunity to excel in life and contribute to the community.

The recipient will:
  • be a well-rounded OBA player of 18U age;
  • be an active citizen of their community demonstrating good sportsmanship in the game of baseball;
  • demonstrate enthusiasm and involvement in baseball and their community with a spirit of "giving back"; and
  • require financial assistance to attend university or college (either in Canada or the United States)
  • be awarded $3,500 CDN, presented at the time of registration at university or college.

Baseball Ontario is bringing our Girls Clinics indoors this spring!

Open to all girls aged 8-16 in the province of Ontario. Come train with current and former Provincial and National Team players and coaches!
Each 3-hour clinic is just $39! Please note, as of the date of the chosen clinic, all current Covid-19 Protocols for the Provincial Government, the applicable Public Health Unit, the facility and Baseball Ontario will be in effect. These details will be communicated in advance of your clinic date.

Youth Team Try-Outs for the Canada Games!
All players born in 2005 and later who are on a 2022 Baseball Ontario Rep roster, are on a roster with a PBLO team, or are part of a 2022 Baseball Ontario recognized program, are eligible to try out.
Initial Tryouts for the Ontario Provincial Team (17U) that will compete in the Canada Games will take place as follows:

April 22-24, Blue Chip Sports, Kitchener (SOLD OUT)

April 29-May 1, Durham College, Oshawa

Final Selection Camp:
May 20-23, Vaughan
Baseball Ontario is pleased to present the return of the Program 15 Showcase, coming May 24th and 25th!


This program is designed for high school aged players playing on OBA teams or in recognized programs.
The Program 15 evaluators and instructors have played, coached, and scouted at the highest levels of baseball and have been directly involved in players moving forward collegiately and professionally.
All Program 15 evaluations are performed with the goal of improving the player’s self-awareness and ability to maximize their skills and achieve their goals.
SELECT DIVISION TOWNHALL

The Select Division of Baseball Ontario held a special Town Hall meeting about the coming season that outlined a number of new initiatives for 2022. 

The 90-minute program began with an overview of Select Division initiatives for this season: 
  • House League Select Program 
  • Dedicated Select Program 
  • 9U House League Championship Pilot Project 
  • Information on tournaments and qualifications for the provincial championships 

The meeting included a panel discussion featuring three club representatives from around the province who shared their experience with running Select programs and how they can add to the baseball experience for local players and coaches. A Q&A session followed the discussion.
