FIREFIGHTERS
At the present time there are fires happening across the United States and around the world bringing great devastation. One of the most dangerous jobs of all is to be a firefighter. They put their lives on the line to not just put out fires, but to save lives also. They are trained and equipped to go where no ordinary person would go.
There is a different kind of firefighter that is desperately needed. These firefighters also save lives. They pull lost souls out of the fires of hell by being a witness to those that are lost, and without Jesus Christ. They bring hope to souls that have no hope and are desperate for answers.
These firefighters are needed throughout the world. They are willing to go where no one else would go. They warn the lost of eternal hell fire and show them the way to receive Jesus Christ, allowing them to escape eternal fire.
Sadly, there are few that have been taught how to be this kind of firefighter. Church after church has lost their vision for souls that are lost. They have coffee hours, and carry-in dinners, sports teams, and even what they call revivals. They may even have a get-together where everyone meets and greets each other, but they are like the church of Laodicea. They have lost their first love. They are not interested in the souls headed for torment in the flames of hell. They are not training spiritual firefighters.
Where would the world be without the firefighters willing to go when fires rage on and on taking acres of land in their wrath? The world would be destroyed. The firefighters must go where the fires are and work until the flames are extinguished.
Where would a lost soul be if firefighters for Jesus do not go looking for that one that is doomed for eternal flames and pull him out? Will you be that firefighter for Jesus?
I can tell you that the rewards will be great for the one that says “yes.” They will be like Isaiah in Isaiah 6:8 which says, “Also I heard the voice of the Lord saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.”
May the fire of God touch you in such a way that a fire of passion wells up in you for the lost, and that you are willing to be a firefighter for the Lord!
Thanks for being with us today. God bless you
