A Marshall Center Salute to Service
Thank you to all our sponsors, honored guests, volunteers and attendees for making our 17th annual Veterans Day Event a success!

Our 250+ attendees honored all who served our nation and learned more about the work of Veterans Moving Forward, Loudoun Therapeutic Riding and the VFW Auxiliary 1770. They also perused materials about General Marshall from Loudoun County Public Library. Marshall Center Board member, Lieut. General Bruce Crawford (U.S. Army, retired) delivered powerful remarks to help us pay our respects to those who served our nation in uniform.
Making "Inspiring Leadership" Possible
Thank you to those who braved a nippy November afternoon to celebrate Founders Day with us on the grounds of Dodona Manor. We enjoyed hearing remarks from Chairman of the Board Steve Chapin, President Emeritus Tom Greenspon and new board member Karen Britton reflecting on the past and present work of the Marshall Center. We were also pleased to recognize and honor Les and Michele Janka for their outstanding service on and to our board over the last six years. We’re grateful to all those who have started and continue the work of the Marshall Center. You make it all possible!
Holidays and History:
The Marshall Plan Tree Walk 2021
The tradition continues! Our Marshall Plan Tree Walk returns for a second year to the grounds of Dodona Manor, beginning with an evening tree lighting ceremony at 4:30 on December 4. This unique event combines the magic of the holidays with recognition of the 17 Marshall Plan countries. Seventeen trees, one for each country that participated in the Marshall Plan, will be decorated along the brick walk by the house for visitors to view and enjoy through the holiday season.
Be sure to vote for your favorite tree when you visit!

As we prepare to enter the holiday season, we’re also preparing for a busy winter inside Dodona Manor. Every year, we suspend house tours during January and February to take care of the interior of the house and give our docents a well-deserved break.

But until then, we’d love to see you here! Tours will be available on Friday, Saturday and Sunday 10am-3:30pm until December 19. Come visit us soon!
Foreign Policy Book Club
On the first Wednesday of the month, the Marshall Center hosts a virtual discussion on a book about a foreign policy topic. We have the next books lined up, and we can't wait to read and discuss them with you.
