Arcata's new Ridge Trail has been completed and is now open for use! The North end of the trail is located right next to the lumber yard just South of Alves on West End Rd in Arcata. The South end of the trail is located on the Western edge of the Sunny Brae Forest at the Margaret Ln trailhead. Now that the trail is complete, you can travel safely from the north edge of town down to the southern edge of town on foot, bike, or even on a horse! This newest addition to Arcata's extensive trail system has helped to propel it to the top of the podium taking the crown as Humboldt Counties most extensive trail setup! Can you imagine what it would be like if they ever completed the Humboldt Bay Trail?!?! |
