Lost Giants of the Jurassic

COMP and CPM Associate Professor Matt Wedel, PhD, gave an invited public lecture, "Lost Giants of the Jurassic," for The Museum of Colorado - Dinosaur Journey on
Oct. 13, National Fossil Day. The talk covered the dinosaur digs that Dr. Wedel went on this summer with GCBS Assistant Professor Jessie Atterholt, PhD, COMP Assistant Professor Thierra Nalley, PhD, and COMP student Kaelen Kay.

SGA Halloween Photo Contest

The annual SGA Halloween Contest will run from Oct. 11 to Nov. 1. Open to all WesternU students, faculty and staff.
The categories are: decorated/carved pumpkin, Halloween-themed food (new!), and pet costume.
Prizes (Amazon gift cards): $125 for first, $75 for second, and $50 for third in each category.
Public voting on WesternU's Facebook page will run Nov. 3-8.

The Senior Vice President for the Office of Research & Biotechnology invites you to attend the virtual WesternU Annual Student Technology and Research Symposium (STRS 2021) at 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, 2021.

Virtual Paint Night
6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18.
Join the fun and paint the beautiful sunset from your home! This is a live instruction provided by The Purple Easel. Complete your event registration with non-refundable fee of $10. Registration includes one canvas, one economy easel, two mixing pallets, and paint. Deadline to register is Nov. 2. Paint supplies will be shipped and the Zoom link will be emailed closer to the event date.
