MESSAGE FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Now that most children are back to in-person learning, there are mixed feelings of joy and enthusiasm coupled with anxiety and uncertainty. As a parent myself, I’m relieved and grateful that my child can be with her friends, return to her favourite sport and learn from her engaging teachers but I also worry that we are just starting to understand the true emotional impacts of the past 18 months. The George Hull Centre is ready and able to navigate these unsteady times with the hundreds of families we serve.
|
This fall, we will support our children and families at home, in the classroom, virtually and in group settings. Our clinicians will address all cases with a trauma-informed lens and an understanding that the pandemic has drastically impacted children’s mental health in many different ways. We will be there for our clients and we will continue to offer flexible and innovative programming to address the changing needs of our community.
I hope you will continue to support the George Hull Centre!

As COVID continued to take its toll on children and youth, our donors generously stepped in to ensure families received the help they needed.
Our deepest gratitude goes out to The Gordon and Ruth Gooder Foundation who, upon learning of the need for a minivan for our Intensive Programs, generously donated $45,000 for the purchase of a brand-new vehicle bringing big smiles to both clients and staff.

Libby’s Place Manager Karen Mighty hops in to the new “Gooder-mobile".
“I have social anxiety... When we got a house van, I was like YES! Cause at least I could try going places with the group and if my anxiety got too much, I could just sit in the van with staff. Thanks for the donation.” – Libby’s Place client
We are also very thankful to Bob Hull and his family - Cathy, Nathalie and Meg - who have generously pledged $30,000 to our programs and services as they carry on the caring legacy of Bob’s father George, our Centre’s namesake.
The George Hull Centre is very fortunate to have a long-standing partnership with RBC Foundation. A champion of youth mental health, RBC most recently awarded $25,000 to support our Teen Talk group. Thank you RBC!
|
We are also fortunate to have the support of caring individuals. Our sincere appreciation goes to Wendy Southall for her $10,000 donation.
A shout out to JRP Employee Benefit Solutions for their recent $5,000 donation. Thank you to Richard and his team for their amazing loyalty to the Centre.
