🗣️🏆 Kehillah Wins Moot Beit Din Nationals!
For the seventh consecutive year, Kehillah has won top honors at the Maimonides Moot Court Competition, hosted by the Hadar Institute. Competing against teams from the U.S., Israel, and Argentina, our students showcased their ability to apply halacha (Jewish law) to contemporary issues with depth and creativity. One of our two teams placed first in the most challenging division, an incredible achievement, especially with several 9th-grade students on the team.
Both teams dedicated months to analyzing texts and preparing for the written and oral components of the competition, all under the guidance of their advisors, Jewish Studies Teachers Moshe Goodman and Rabbi Bruce Finklestein. Their success was bolstered by mentorship from senior competitors who guided the younger students, fostering a culture of halachic reasoning and leadership. Over the weekend, students presented their cases to expert judges and participated in community-building with over 300 students at the accompanying Shabbaton.
Mazal tov to our competitors — Mayan Moses, 12th-grade; Dov Morris, 12th-grade; Maya Mazin, 9th-grade; Orli Roy, 9th-grade; Hannah Blinder, 9th-grade; Miriam Goldhaber-Fiebert, 9th-grade; Isaac Zucker, 12th-grade; Zalman Zucker, 12th-grade; Tziporah Walfish, 12th-grade; Charlotte Kofman, 11th-grade; Chava Roy, 11th-grade; Eliot O'Connell, 10th-grade; and Ava Angelo, 12th-grade — on this well-earned success!

Last weekend, the track team kicked off the season at MacDonald High School in San Jose, with six Kehillah students competing in events like the 4x100m relay, 100m, 200m, 400m, and shot put. It was a great day with strong support from teammates and families!
Meanwhile, the boys volleyball team triumphed in their season opener, defeating Mid-Peninsula in a thrilling five-set match. It was exciting to see the team come together and secure the win!
The boys and girls tennis team has been practicing hard, despite the weather, and though their matches won’t begin for a few weeks, they’ll be ready!
Overall, a strong start to the Spring season! Go Rams!
