LaGuardia is a resource for students and working professionals focused on many disciplines and industries. The College has been ranked as a leader in Nursing and Healthcare, and it’s now enhancing one of its programs to help Internationally Trained Professionals (ITPs) from the healthcare field improve their English language skills and rebuild their careers in New York with help through a generous grant from the Mother Cabrini Health Foundation. The Center for Immigrant Education and Training (CIET)'s NYC Welcome Back Center (NYCWBC), under the Continuing Education and Workforce Development Division, was recently awarded $1.2 million for its NYC Welcome Back Center Project to Support Internationally Trained Healthcare Professionals. The project will assist immigrant healthcare professionals in restarting their career pathways, aiming to ensure that a pipeline of qualified and diverse healthcare workers is available to meet the healthcare needs of all New Yorkers.
The LaGuardia Performing Arts Center’s Spring 2025 lineup features a diverse array of performances that celebrate cultural richness and artistic excellence. Highlights include an Afro-Dominican flamenco dance performance from the CUNY Dance Initiative, a celebration of Mexican dance, and a showcase blending hip hop, urban dance, African music, reggae, pop music, and poetry. Additionally, Carnegie Hall Citywide will present a high-energy Japanese taiko drumming performance at LPAC, free of charge. Learn more here and reserve tickets today at LPAC’s website.

Use this site to learn more about Undocumented and Immigrant Student Programs, access a listing of Campus Immigrant Success Liaisons, and much more. Another valuable resource is the Presidents' Alliance on Higher Education and Immigration, which has several free webinars focused on how post-election policy may impact immigrant and undocumented students. Hispanic Federation also provides guidance about how to interact with law enforcement, including Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents. Student Affairs has provided regular updates to students, and will continue to do so, about the resources and services available.
