The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, expressed solidarity today (Monday) with the victims of the tornadoes that devastated, in recent days, the central and southern United States of America (USA).
In a message addressed to the US President, Joe Biden, the Angolan Head of State said that it was with great emotion and deep sadness that he learnt about the devastating consequences of the series of tornadoes that hit the centre and south of the country, causing a high number of deaths, injuries and material damages.
"In the face of this tragic event that has plunged your people into mourning, it is my duty, on behalf of the Angolan Government and on my own behalf, to express my deepest condolences and feelings of solidarity, which I extend to the families affected, with whom I share the pain" (?), the message reads.
