Weekly Director Letter 09/24/2021
Dear Parents,

What a week of excitement at Kids For Kids. First my apologies for the weekly letter from last week. For some reason, they stayed in a queue and did not go out so I sent them on Wednesday evening. I hope you took time to read them as the staff puts a great deal of effort into them.

This week we launched the voting in the National Kiwanis playground competition. I think we have a great chance of winning as we are only 1 of 20 programs in the running. Thank you all who voted daily and shared with friends and family. We were so excited to have gotten over 900 votes the first 2 days putting us over 400 votes in the lead. We were sad that a system error caused the voting to be restarted on Wednesday and we started at ground zero. With your help between now and October 4th, we can again get the most votes. If you are a teacher, please share with your students. If you have a business, please hang a flyer. If you have an email address, please vote daily and share, share, share! Our dream is to use the $25,000 to fully cover all of our outside areas with shade. With your help, we can WIN! Here is the link to vote....

We also had lots of excitement with Powerball and Mega Millions purchasing over 200 tickets as a school family. Although we were not the big winners, it was fun to dream together!

Thank you to all who filled out their fee agreement. Each year in October we must have families fill out a new food program form, even if your information has stayed the same. This is a fiscal requirement from the state of Florida and the Childcare Food Program. Next week you will be getting a blank form. Please make sure and fill in all of the spaces next to the start. If you need to see your old form, we can get that for you. Be sure to include all kids living in your home, even if they do not attend, and fill out the income, address, and signature information. We cannot accept incomplete forms. You will have until October 5th to turn them in. If we do not have the form, we cannot feed your child, so please fill it out and return it.

I had a chance to visit some of our classes this week and can say that I am so impressed with all the wonderful things that are happening. Your child is truly being taught by the best of the best in the Early Childhood field. Kudos to all our fabulous teachers and assistants!

Finally, the last annual fee will post to accounts on Monday. That is the $40 technology fee that covers your Brightwheel subscription. The only other annual fee will be the second supply fee in February for our VPK and K-2 classes.

Have a wonderful weekend!
