Fall MAP Testing Dates for K-8 Students:September 7th - 28th

MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) assessments are completed by all K-8 students in the fall and spring. The data from MAP tests is used to set individualized and school-wide instructional goals and measure student growth.

Please help your child prepare for MAP tests. Students should:

  • Get a good night's sleep, ideally 8-10 hours
  • Eat a healthy breakfast with protein
  • Arrive at school on time. Many tests start at 8:15am
  • Bring a good book to school. Students are asked to read a book upon completion of their MAP.
  • Avoid absences during the MAPs test window
  • Contact your child's teacher if you have specific questions related to MAP

Counselor's Corner

Counselor’s Corner

Welcome Back!  I hope  you had a wonderful summer filled with blessings, fun, and relaxation!   I had a nice summer with some down time to reflect on God’s goodness and grace.

I just wanted to share some helpful ideas as your child(ren) eases back into the school this year especially for our younger students who may struggle with the transition more.

  • Talk to them about what to expect, such as activities they will be a part of.
  • Show interest and be supportive and encouraging.
  • Arrive at school on time so your child can adjust to the classroom routine.
  • After you say goodbye, make a quick exit.
  • Create a daily goodbye routine each day with your child.
  • Make getting ready in the morning as stress-free as possible.  For example, lay out the clothes and other needed items the night before.  Have them help get ready for the next day, help prepare their cold lunch or pack their snack.

Here are some helpful books if your child may have some difficulty getting back into the school routine.

Volleyball Concessions

Please sign up to work volleyball concessions and help out the athletic department.  Concessions are one of the very few sources of income for the athletic department, so it is important that we get every slot filled. Middle school students may earn service hours for volunteering provided they are 12 years of age and accompanied by an adult at all times. Thank you for your help!   Volleyball Concessions Sign up
