Fair Week is an exciting time for all of us here at DACC. Many of our students participate in shows and competitions at the fair and we wish everyone the best of luck.

Please remember that there is no school at DACC on Monday. However, students are expected to be in attendance at DACC Tuesday – Friday even if your home school is closed. Transportation will be provided as normal with the exception of Delaware Hayes. If you know you will be absent on one of these days, please report your absence by calling us at 740-203-2268 or filling out the pre-arranged absence form.

Delaware Hayes students – on Thursday (9/22) and Friday (9/23), you will be picked up at your local elementary school in the morning and half-day students will be dropped off at Delaware Hayes High School at mid-day. Afternoon students will be picked up at Delaware Hayes High School and at the end of the day, all Delaware Hayes students will be dropped off at your local elementary school. If you have further questions about transportation, please contact the Delaware City Schools Transportation Department.

September 19th - Fair Day
No high school classes

September 28th - Picture Makeup Day-All Programs
HR Imaging will be on campus on September 28th from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM to take school photos for anyone who has not yet had their photo taken. This includes daytime and after-school programs. All students are required to have their photo taken, but you are not required to purchase a photo package. All families should have received ordering information through the mail from HR Imaging. If you purchased a package and need a retake, please bring the package photos to the photographer for replacement.

October 13th- Remote Learning Day for Students
During remote learning days, students are engaged in online assignments provided by their teachers. This is an opportunity to practice time management, and self-direction, as well as hone the skills necessary for learning remotely - all skills that are valued by our collegiate and business partners.

October 14th - Professional Development Day
No high school classes

October 31st- Flu and Covid-19 Vaccine Clinic

Scholarship
The United Way of Delaware Co. Women’s Leadership Network is offering multiple scholarships to current DACC students.

Scholarships are intended to help cover the cost of school fees, technology, tools, uniform, or other educational resources. Scholarships may vary in amount, based on student needs.

Eligible students must be Delaware County residents and be enrolled in DACC. Scholarships will be paid directly to DACC or the supply vendor.

The application can be found here. Be sure to download the file to your computer before filling it out. Completed applications should be returned to a DACC Counselor or Lisa-Marie Reinhart, Career Readiness Coordinator, ReinhartL@DelawareAreaCC.org by Friday, Sept. 30.
Attendance
You can easily report an absence using our online Report an Absence form found on the main menu of the DACC App or on the Attendance page of our website.

Using this form is a quick and easy way for you to report your child's absence without planning around school hours or waiting on-hold.

Are You Interested in the Military?
DACC is proud to support students interested in learning more about military service. DACC will host an ASVAB exam for any students interested on October 27 at 8:00 AM in the Forum. This test is required for students to be eligible for military service and is also an option for students that wish to take a career inventory. Register with the google form.

DACC does not provide scores to recruiters.

QPR Gatekeeper Training
DACC students will be participating in QPR Gatekeeper Training September 26th – October 4th. Learn more about the QPR program here.
 
Myers-Briggs Assessment
Level one students will have the opportunity to learn more about themselves through the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator personality assessment during the first semester. Find out more about the Myers-Briggs assessment and download a list of conversation starters to have with your student about their experience here.
 
Senior Photos
The DACC Photography Studio, made up of a team of DACC students, is booking appointments for senior photos. Schedule your one-on-one session here.
