FROM THE SENIOR PASTOR
When He had given thanks…
When Paul is giving the divine instruction regarding the ordinance of the Breaking of Bread, he writes, “And when He (the Lord Jesus) had given thanks, He broke it” (I Corinthians 11:24). On the very night on which He was betrayed — that sad and solemn night — our Lord gave thanks.

Repeatedly throughout Scripture, we are called to give thanks. Of all of the people on the face of the earth, we should be the most thankful. “Happy are you, O Israel! Who is like you, a people saved by the Lord” (Deuteronomy 33:29).

On Sunday evening, we have the outstanding privilege of gathering as the people of God in the house of the Lord to remember Christ and to give thanks. As we do this, our joy in the Lord increases, as well as our love for our magnificent Savior. Let’s give thanks together at our special Thanksgiving service on Sunday at 6:00 PM.

Missions Project Update
This week, we presented a gift to one of our Calvary-supported missionaries to mobilize nomadic believers to evangelize and disciple unreached communities in Southcentral Africa. The missions team there has started an evangelistic outreach center for Somali refugees. In addition, Calvary Church has funded a medical clinic to serve as an evangelism platform in the area. Your generous gifts to Calvary make this possible. Thank you!
