Dear St. Louis Families,

We are ready, and we are excited to welcome both old and new friends to St. Louis on Monday morning. A couple reminders…

Drop off begins at 7:40am
Use the 1st entrance from Popkins Lane, closest to Walsh Hall
Be patient as we welcome all of our K-8 students back to school.

As we begin a new year, with some new COVID challenges, we remember we are rooted in our faith—we can move mountains because we believe we can and we are stronger together.

First Week of School Schedule - August 23-27

First Day of School - Monday, August 23rd

Carpool drop-off begins at 7:40am; the school day begins at 8:00am. Please review the new morning carpool guidelines below!
The SchoolPass daily health check must be completed for each student or a hard copy of the Daily Health Questionnaire in hand.
ALL students must have the Diocesan Agreement in hand to enter the school building.
ALL kindergarteners and new students must have their health forms and immunization records in hand unless they have been submitted already to the nurse.
ALL students will be dismissed at 11:30am.
EDC is not open.
Students should wear their regular uniform the first day of school and a mask.

NEW!!! Changes to Carpool Procedures

Please carefully review the new carpool procedures and diagrams for the 2021-22 school year. Highlights include:

Use Entrance 1 in the mornings. This is the first parking lot entrance closest to Walsh Hall. The middle entrance will no longer be used for morning drop-off.
ALL students must exit from their cars at the curb. Parents may not park in the lot and walk their child to the sidewalk. Teachers, staff and NJHS students will be ready to greet and assist your child each morning.
Students will go directly to their homerooms in the morning. K-3rd Grade students will enter through Doors 5 (lower hall); 4th-5th Grade students through Doors 2 (upper hall); and 6th-8th Grade students will go directly to the Middle School.

Don't sweat it! There will be teachers and staff to help guide parents through the carpool lines in the morning and afternoon.

Returning families, your carpool number remains the same year-to-year.
New families, you received your carpool number at orientation or a follow-up email if you missed it.
Please make sure your child knows their carpool number.

Afternoon carpool is split into 2 lines - A and B. As a general rule of thumb, students in K-5th Grade are in Carpool A, and 6th-8th Grade students are in Carpool B ("B" for Big kids!).

Exceptions:

If your K-5th grader has a middle school sibling or student in their carpool, they will be in Carpool B.
If your K-5th grader has a sibling in the Preschool Pandas class, they will be in Carpool B.

Uniforms & Grooming

Please review the uniform guidelines for your child(ren).

A few reminders regarding uniforms and grooming for the 2021-22 school year:

All K-7th Grade students will need the gray PE t-shirt. Only 8th grade students may continue to wear the light blue PE shirt for their final year.
Sneakers may not be worn with the regular school uniform. Acceptable shoe styles are black, brown or navy Mary Jane's, lace-up's or loafers.
Please come back to school with your natural hair color; no trendy styles or appendages are allowed.
Boys' hair must be cut above the ears, eyebrows and collar.
Nail polish and make-up are not permissable.
Multiple piercings are not allowed. Girls may wear 1 set of stud earrings in the lobe area.

2021-22 Hot Lunch Info

We will continue to provide hot lunch options through Yay Lunch for the 2021-22 school year. The ordering period will open on August 26th and a dedicated email will be sent to families with ordering instructions. For more information about Yay Lunch, please see the attached flyer.
