WEEKLY UPDATE: December 6, 2021
ADVENT WEEK 2

This is the second week of Advent, the season when we prepare for and anticipate the coming of Christ. This past Sunday (12/5) we lit the first & second purple candles on the Advent wreath, which symbolize hope and peace.

Spend some time this week thinking about what gives you peace. Take your desire for peace to God in prayer. Ask God to give you peace in spite of the anger, violence, social unrest etc. that plaques our world. If you are not feeling peace at this time, ask God to help you experience his peace that passes all understanding.

My prayer for you is that you are filled with the peace of Christ as we prepare for his arrival and his return.

PARSONAGE OPEN HOUSE

Pastor Amy will hold an open house at the parsonage on Saturday, December 11 from 1-3 pm. Everyone is invited and welcome. She understands that some people are not comfortable gathering in groups at this time and sincerely hopes that no one will feel obligated to come.  
SINGLES GATHERINGS

The Single's Group will meet Friday, December 10 at 12:30pm at Sal's for a "dutch treat lunch". If you would like to attend, please contact Betty Meyer so she can turn in a head count. After lunch, they will return to the Gathering Place for games and desert. Please bring a gift (cost $5 or less) to be distributed in a drawing.

On Saturday, Dec. 11 the Single's will attend the annual holiday musical at Northside Baptist Church. If you would like to attend, please contact Betty Meyer.
