Can you believe it? Only two months left to go in 2022! As we put the finishing touches on our goals for the year, we begin looking ahead to 2023 and how we can continue to grow and serve our community.

Next month — on November 10 — we will hit a major milestone in our Chamber’s history as we officially launch our Western Massachusetts office. Located right in Easthampton, this office will serve as a meeting place, coworking space, business development hub, and operations center for all of our Western Mass-centric work. We are thrilled to be continuously increasing our presence in the region, and this office will accelerate those efforts. Another event that helps us close out the year successfully is our first-ever conference, which we first announced last month, taking place on December 8! Our Chamber is edging closer to reaching 400 small business members — a milestone I only imagined when we first launched the Chamber back in 2017!

Although deeply focused on what remains of 2022, our team is putting our heads together to plan for 2023. An organization-wide retreat taking place this week will give us an opportunity to finalize our strategic goals for next year and get a head start on what comes next!

Last week, our Chamber and Commonwealth Corporation co-hosted a hugely successful LGBTQ+-Owned Business Roundtable in Easthampton. Participants met with business leaders and the larger community in an environment that fostered learning, networking, and information exchange related to business growth and workforce development. Plantable Greeting Cards

The Bower Studio, named after the bowerbird, a creature known for decorating nests with colorful found objects, was founded in 2011 by artists Isa Wang and Vincent Frano. Isa and Vincent combined their interests in illustration and environmental stewardship to design beautiful and functional items that showcase the diversity of North American flora and fauna.

Today, The Bower Studio, based in Easthampton, MA, has grown into a small team of artists specializing in plantable seed cards and original illustrations! All creations are sustainably handmade with eco-friendly materials, and 10% of profits are donated to ecological organizations.
