Coach Jeremy's Notes to the Team

Hey team,

Congratulations on a great season!! What an amazing season, capped off with some great weather and racing yesterday!

I talked with so many athletes who had amazing PR’s and they just killed it out there!

Thanks to all of the families who showed up to get the stage set for the great day, and helped tear down!

As we have now wrapped up the regular season, we barely take a breath and are catapulted into the post season.

Here are some final thoughts and then some instruction for post season athletes:

  1. Make your plans for the banquet this coming Sunday night!! Always a good time to reflect on the season and give some awards. And don’t forget about just hanging out with other friends and families, which at the end of the day is one of the best parts of this team.
  2. Post Season kids: I know it’s Halloween, but you gotta get out there for an easy recovery run if you can before loading up on candy.
  3. We’ll be back at it tomorrow night!
  4. Not sure if you are on the Post Season team, if you consistently placed in the top 16 then you are in consideration for either the A-Team or B-Team
  5. So please show up to practice tomorrow night, same Bat channel, same Bat time… (for all you original Batman fans!)

Final thought to athletes: be proud of what you accomplished this season. Although it is a long season, it goes by so quick, reflect on the process to get to yesterday’s race and realize the commitment, effort, focus, preparation, and attitude were all important. That is real growth for each of you! Running well is fun, improving is fun, but those 5 keys I just mentioned are what make you a better person, and that is a huge key in your short lives so far.

Final thoughts for parents: thanks for having kids and letting us coach them! And for your commitment to help make this team the best!

Final thoughts for coaches: you all are amazing and I am grateful for your commitment, support, and dedication to the athletes!

Awesome season everyone, I look forward to celebrating this Sunday!

Thank you all,

Coach Jeremy

Sincerely,
