Fall is here and early voting starts on Saturday, October 29th, 2022 to November 6th, 2022! General Election Day is November 8th, 2022!
The Aero-Ba-Soul, Inc. team encourages everyone to exercise their right to vote and vote for the candidates of their choice!

The struggle over voting rights in the United States dates all the way back to the founding of the nation. The original U.S. Constitution did not define voting rights for citizens, and until 1870, only white men were allowed to vote. Two constitutional amendments changed that. |
|
The Fifteenth Amendment (ratified in 1870) extended voting rights to men of all races. However, this amendment was not enough because African Americans were still denied the right to vote by state constitutions and laws, poll taxes, literacy tests, the “grandfather clause,” and outright intimidation.
The Twenty-fourth Amendment (ratified in 1964) partly addressed this injustice by prohibiting the use of poll taxes in federal elections. In addition to these constitutional amendments, the Voting Rights Act of 1965 secured voting rights for adult citizens
of all races and genders in the form of federal laws that enforced the amendments.

Westchester County Board of Elections
The Westchester County Board of Elections is dedicated to ensuring that all eligible residents have the opportunity to register and vote in our county. There will be a General Election held on Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2022 from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The Early Voting period for the General Election is Oct. 29, 2022 to Nov. 6, 2022.
Nov. 8, 2022 General Election Absentee Ballot Department Extended Hours:
- Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2022 until 8 p.m.
- Thursday, Oct. 27, 2022 until 8 p.m.
- Saturday, Oct. 29, 2022 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2022 until 8 p.m.
- Thursday, Nov. 3, 2022 until 8 p.m.
- Saturday, Nov. 5, 2022 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.
This is for the purpose of obtaining an absentee ballot/application and dropping off completed absentee ballots.
Nov. 8, 2022 General Election Registration Deadlines:
- Oct. 14, 2022 is the last day to postmark voter registration application for the General Election, which MUST be received in our office by Oct. 19, 2022.
- Oct. 14, 2022 is the last day to register in person to be eligible for the General Election.
- Oct. 19, 2022 is the last day to receive changes of address.
Nov. 8, 2022 General Election Absentee Ballot Information:
- Oct. 24, 2022 is the last day for the Board of Elections to receive an application, letter, fax, email or absentee online portal request for the General Election ballot. Sec.8-400(2)(c)
- Nov. 7, 2022 is the last day for an applicant or agent to apply in person at the Board of Elections for the General Election absentee ballot. Sec.8-400(2)(c)
- Nov. 8, 2022 is the last day to postmark the General Election absentee ballot by mail. The ballot must be received by the Board of Elections no later than Nov. 15, 2022. Sec.8-412(1)
- Nov. 8, 2022 is the last day to deliver the General Election absentee ballot in person to the Board of Elections or at any poll site throughout the county, by the close of the polls on election day. Sec.8-412(1)

Westchester County works hard to encourage and protect your right to vote as a United States citizen. From the county’s Board of Elections, you can find your polling place, register to vote and learn about absentee ballots.
For additional voting information, visit Vote411, an interactive Web site created and maintained by the League of Women Voters. The site supplies personalized ballots and polling locations simply by entering your home address.
