Community Help Drive
Come join the Yorba Linda Teen Action Committee in bringing joy to those in need this holiday season. We encourage you to bring a non-perishable non-expired food item or an unwrapped gift for a young boy or girl to any of the drop-off locations listed below. Santa Express Letters
Do you need to get your holiday gift list to Santa in a hurry? We can help you! The Parks and Recreation Department will be working with Santa Claus this holiday season to deliver all your holiday wish lists! Download and print our Santa Express Letter template (or use your own) and send Santa your request with a self-addressed stamped envelope.

Drop-In Pickleball
December 20-23
Pickleball is back indoors! Join us over the holiday break for some fast-paced pickleball action. We'll supply everything you need for an afternoon of fun with your friends.

Drop-in play will be held in the Thomas Lasorda Jr. Field House Gymnasium (4701 Casa Loma Avenue) Monday, December 20 through Thursday, December 23 from 1:00 to 4:30 p.m.

Cost to play is $2 per day; no pre-registration is necessary. A liability waiver must be completed and children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. For more information, please contact the Thomas Lasorda Jr. Field House at 714-961-7192.



Holidays on the Paseo
Wednesday, December 22
The entire family is invited to join the Yorba Linda Public Library and the Parks and Recreation Department for a magical holiday event at the Library and Cultural Arts Center campus on Wednesday, December 22 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Enjoy the sparkling lights along the paseo as you decorate cookies, enjoy hot cocoa, make crafts, and spread holiday cheer by creating cards for local seniors. Attendees will also enjoy the joyful sounds of Madison Baez followed by local band Quarantet.

December Holiday Closures
Yorba Linda City Hall and all recreational facilities; the Community Center, Cultural Arts Center, Travis Ranch Activity Center, and the Field House will be closed in observance of the holiday season on the following dates:

Parent Toddler Art Time

Parent Toddler Art Time at the Yorba Linda Cultural Arts Center is moving to a new weekly format!

Parent Toddler Art Time is a series of workshops designed for our littlest artists to explore the arts with projects geared towards artists ages 2-5. Registration is now available in a convenient 9-meeting package with two time slots available.

Fridays, January 14-March 25 (No class 2/11 or 3/11)
Course #18686: 9:00-9:45 a.m.
Course #18687: 10:15-11:00 a.m.

Cost of the 9-class package is $36 and covers the parent and child. Attendees can also register for individual classes at $5 per class on YLRecOnline.com.

Super Hero Daddy Daughter Dance
Friday, February 25
All dads and daughters are invited to the Superhero Daddy Daughter Dance on Friday, February 25 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Yorba Linda Community Center, 4501 Casa Loma Avenue, for a night of heroic adventure! Girls ages 4 through 12 will enjoy a night of dinner, dancing, crafts, and games with their superhero guardian. This event sells out every year, so sign-up quickly! The parental guardian and daughter must each register. $20 per person, Course #18292.
Weekly Flag Raising Ceremony Held at Veterans Park
Members of the community are encouraged to honor our local military personnel and veterans at a weekly flag-raising ceremony held at the Yorba Linda Veterans Memorial at  Veterans Park. The ceremony is held every Thursday at 4:15 p.m.


Events at the Virginia De Land Theater

The Virginia De Land Theater is the centerpiece of the Cultural Arts Center and the ideal location for productions and cultural arts events, including plays, recitals, concerts, and other performance art. Named for Yorba Linda Civic Light Opera founder Virginia De Land, the hyperflexible black box space features:

  • Retractable tiered seating for 160, with additional seating risers available to create customized configurations, including theater-in-the-round;
  • State-of-the-art sound and lighting system;
  • Ability to utilize lobby, green room, outdoor paseo, and other auxiliary spaces for performance days; and
  • Central location adjacent to Yorba Linda Town Center and historic Main Street.
