Dear Husky Community,

What a week! As we enter in the new month of November, we are so grateful to have so many exciting events happening in our schools. I truly enjoy watching our students take part in the many passions and interests they have and seeing how they succeed and thrive. It was only one week ago today that we hosted over 100 students at our Homecoming Dance. Our student officers from ASB worked tirelessly with teachers and advisors to plan a fantastic event that was fun for all.

Our fall season of sports is coming to a close with final competitions happening as we send the Friday Letter. Our Football team is playing in a CIF Championship game against Lancaster Baptist and we are rooting them on for a win! No matter what happens today, we are so proud of their contributions both on and off the field. It was also a week for transition as our Cross-Country Team competed in their last meet and we honored and celebrated the team’s senior athletes. The team was newly formed this year and Coach Ramos looked to our senior athletes to provide guidance and leadership to help our newer athletes compete. Well done!

I also had the opportunity to visit Middle School classrooms this week and was so impressed with our Renaissance 5th/6th-grade students who put together the Husky Hominid Museum. The students created the museum in their classroom and built various installations that highlighted important moments in human development, ranging from a paper bag cave with cave paintings to robotics with Lego Mindstorms.

Finally, we were able to host our Grandparents’ and Friends’ virtual event today providing our community a glimpse into all the exciting activities happening in our schools. We featured our talented student performers from Music and Drama classes, to our choir and Garage Band. It sure was fun to watch them. We look forward to welcoming our Grandparents and Friends back to our campus next year.

Have a safe and enjoyable weekend!

Fall Case Studies Night - 11/10
We invite you to participate in a mock admissions evening known as Case Studies hosted by Southern Methodist University on Wednesday, November 10th at 6:30 p.m. This event is open to all Upper School parents and students. Participants will receive three sample college applications to review in advance. During the Case Studies event, parents and students meet in small groups with experienced admission officers who lead a discussion on what colleges look for in an applicant, as well as what colleges value. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to learn first-hand how they will be evaluated and begin thinking about the qualities and strengths they bring to the process and how best to prepare for admission. College reps from various universities will lead student and parent breakout sessions.

Click here to register for the event by Tuesday, November 9th at 11:59 p.m. If you have questions, please email [email protected]  or [email protected]. We look forward to seeing you next week!

Please let us know your area of interest by completing the volunteer form below.
The next Family Association meeting will take place Wednesday, November 17 at 9:30 AM on Zoom. An invite will be sent an hour before the event starts. Senior Speeches
Ashley Nakawatase

"You will experience change, just make sure it's the change you want to make. And if your friends don’t support you, don’t be afraid to change them, too."

The Husky Fund
Please click the thumbnail above to view a message from Amy Hollinger, Head of Schools, regarding the Husky Fund. Your partnership and generosity make it possible for us to provide the world-class programming that fuels our three schools!
Each year, we release our annual report to highlight our fundraising efforts and acknowledge the generosity of our community from the previous school year.

Appropriately titled Husky Strong, this report recognizes the resiliency of our community throughout a challenging year. As with most independent schools, our tuition does not cover the cost of our programming and the donations from our community help close that gap and ensure our schools' ability to educate radiant minds for years to come.
